… more scatter-brained art coming soon.
Another project…
This is another local company that I had the honor of doing a t-shirt design for. I did the font from scratch on Illustrator, which was very much needed. It really bugs me when I see companies using a ready-made font that doesn’t say much about the company itself. I wanted to do something that just spoke “extreme.” Most of the inspiration for the font was taken from Dakine, who does a whole bunch of extreme sports products. The falling figure was taken from a video that was provided to me from the staff there at Skydive Hollister, which was a pretty fun part of the process. Anyway, they loved the shirt as much as I loved doing it. If you’re ever in the area and need something extreme to do, you should pay them a visit.
My online store is now ready to shop!
Original art for “Tamed” and “Raptor” are available for purchase. And there is a limited edition of only 10 fine art giclee prints for “Desolate Muse” available. I dread the though of having to give the originals a new home, but I don’t have much of a choice 😦 Thank you to anyone who plans to purchase!
I think I reached a breakthrough…
I was so comfortable drawing this one and I believe it was because I included more of the anatomy. The first few drawings out of this sketchbook were from the shoulders up, forcing me to draw bigger and making the cross hatching look messier than usual. By drawing more of the body, the overall anatomy was scaled down so I was able to get more of the look I was going for. Also, I set up a YouTube account and this drawing will have a time lapse video. The first of many I hope. Here’s is the link if you want to subscribe www.youtube.com/channel/UCqQlB6yTtl7YdhcPw1i26jA
