Prince of Purgatory

Here he is…

Prince of Purgatory

Adding thumbnails to my working process has been treating me well. It makes the actual drawing part a lot funner. In this piece, I tried a more dynamic pose and, as you can tell from the initial line drawing, is a lot more interesting. My niece actually helped me out with this one. She posed for me so I can really nail the lighting and folds of the cape. Also, I’ve been using a toothpick to apply the gouache in tiny areas. Works for me.
